1. The safety features of an electric kettle are
the fuse and earth wire in the three pin plug.

safe to use without the earth wire because it has a double insulation (plastic
casing), this means
no current will flow to earth if someone touches the
case.

a fuse, it melts, this breaks the circuit and protects the
appliance and the person using it.
